1.The league will begin April 19, 2012 and last for 20
weeks plus an optional league tournament the week following scheduled play.
2.Starting time for all players will be 5:30.We will shotgun the entire league off at one
time.Hole assignments for the week will
be make by the Pro Shop.
3.Subs may be used with no limit but YOU MUST FIND YOUR OWN SUB, THE PRO SHOP WILL NOT BE RESPONSABLE FOR
FINDING SOMEONE TO PLAY FOR YOU.If
neither partner shows up, and subs were not found, you forfeit.
4.Play will be match play using the one best ball for
each team per hole.Handicap strokes
will be applied per hole based on the card.Teams will be competing for 8 points each night, 2 points for each 3
holes and 2 points for total.Ties will
mean 1 point per team per 3 holes or total.
5.Handicaps will be figured by the Pro Shop for all
league members and subs with a maximum handicap being 12.A maximum of double bogie will be allowed on
any hole for handicap purposes only.
6.Matches should be played on Thursdays but, with prior
notice to the Pro Shop, some matches may be played on other days.You would not be eligible for low gross, low
net, or closest to the pin prizes if your match is played other than on a
Thursday.Matches may be played on
Thursdays before the shotgun start only if permission is given by the Pro
Shop.You must play with your opponents,
no matching of cards will be allowed.
7.You may improve your lie everywhere except hazards, one
club length no nearer the hole and so as not to improve your position to the
hole.When your ball is in a hazard, you
may not do anything to improve your lie (i.e., touch ball, move sticks, step
down long grass).
8.White stakes and white lies indicate out of
bounds.You must re-hit from the
original spot plus add one penalty shot.Do not go to the spot where your ball went out of bounds and hit your
next shot.
9.In case of rain outs, play will be moved back one
week.(max. 2 weeks).
10.If neither of your opponents show up, you
will play against par instead of automatically receiving 8 points.
11.Prize money will be split into 2 halves – 1st
10 weeks and 2nd 10 weeks.The tournament at the end will be optional and will have a separate entry
fee of $5.00 per man and will be a 2-man scramble.Prize money will be gift certificates.
12.One sleeve of balls will be awarded each night for
individual low net and low gross plus an optional closest to the pin contest
($1.00 per man) will be held for the entire field each week.
13.League members will receive $1.00 off greens fees and
will pay $9.00 to walk and $7.00 to ride a cart.Naturally, Penn Terra members do not pay
greens fees.
14.The Pro Shop will make all decisions on rules.
15.Entry fee will be $40.00 per man, payable by the first
night of play.
16.Pace of play
for the league will be 2 hours.Please
keep to this pace and keep up with the group ahead of you (not behind you)!!!!
You will be warned once and the second time the entire group will receive a one
point penalty.No exceptions.It is the entire group’s responsibility to
keep play moving.
